The ASBA (American Sports Builders Association) is an association of builders, designers and suppliers in the sports construction industry. General Acrylics, Inc. and its employees take pride in their involvement in the ASBA and the contributions they have made to education and upholding of high standards within the industry.
The annual Technical Meeting was held in Jacksonville, Florida in early December. General Acrylics was represented by Mike Wickham (tennis, track, and turf sales); Bo Campbell (tennis sales and operations); Donna Sierks (Certified Track Builder, Past ASBA Chairman and Industry Merit Award Recipient); and Jonnie Deremo (President of General Acrylics and Certified Tennis Court Builder.)
Jonnie was one of the builders presenting a training session regarding the construction of post-tensioned concrete tennis court slabs.
General Acrylics is pleased to announce the completion of the tennis court facility renovation and expansion at Yavapai Community College is Prescott, AZ. The tennis facility is used extensively by the college, high school and community at large. The 6 courts had deteriorated and exhibited large cracks and settled areas.
General Acrylics rebuilt the existing 6 courts and added a 7th. They are constructed with post-tensioned concrete to provide a crack resistant and extremely durable court. New fencing, professional lighting, retaining walls and landscaping were part of the renovation project.
As quality of work, experience and the ability to use pre-bid and awarded pricing were a priority, the College chose to contract with General Acrylics through Mojave Educational Services.
