Running track synthetic surfaces that are installed on site by various combinations of binder and rubber are classified by the type of binder used. General Acrylics has many years’ experience in the installation of all types of both latex and polyurethane bound surfaces.
Latex bound systems are porous surfaces most commonly used when initial cost is the deciding factor. General Acrylics’ line of UltraTrack latex bound surfaces include 3/8" and 1/2" depths and black as well as colored "sandwich" systems.
When long term value and enhanced athletic performance levels are desired, a Spurtan or Rekortan polyurethane system will be the logical choice. There is a full range of surfaces in a choice of color, porous or non-porous with various performance characteristics.
Spurtan BS - a porous system consisting of a paved base mat and colored structural spray coats.
Spurtan BSS - the same as Spurtan BS with the addition of a seal coat between the base mat and the sprayed surface to make the system non-porous.
Spurtan BV - a sandwich system with a paved base mat for resilience and a top layer of rubber and solid pour polyurethane for performance and durability.
