Since 1958, General Acrylics, Inc. has built a trusted reputation in sports facility construction and surfacing. Under its present ownership since 1987, the company has served the Southwest and Mountain Regions and is regarded as an industry leader in constructing and resurfacing athletic facilities.
Our History & Background
General Acrylics, Inc. first incorporated in Arizona in 1958 as W-H Construction, Inc. In the early 1960s the company grew to keep pace with rising demand for tennis court construction and all-weather track surfacing. By 1972, that expanding tennis court and track division became its own company, General Acrylics, Inc. In 1987, current owner Jonnie Deremo purchased 100% of the division and its stock.
The company is now headquartered at 22222 N. 22nd Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona, in an office and warehouse facility of roughly 11,000 square feet. Gameco acrylic tennis court coatings are produced on site. General Acrylics installs both latex and polyurethane track surfaces and has been installing synthetic turf since 1998.
Since 1987, General Acrylics, Inc. has become the leading tennis court, track and synthetic turf contractor in Arizona and throughout the Southwest. The company motto, “See the Difference,” reflects a commitment to dependable products and quality installations delivered with integrity and to the customer’s satisfaction. Jonnie Deremo has continually kept General Acrylics at the forefront of the sports construction industry by developing innovative products, applications and construction methods.
